Close to sunrise, the howling wind begins to die down. At 6:00am, most if not all the visitors are already up to watch the sunrise. Some determined tourists staying at MBC begin to arrive to join the early crowd.
Opposite to sunset, sunrise is from the back of Machhupuchhare and therefore casts the lights on the Annapurna ranges. In contrast, the Annapurna ranges lose lustre to the stand alone Machhupuchhare which projects a gorgeous landscape.
The return path due downhill is comparatively easier and time saving. Instead of 2 days, we cut short by 1/2 day going back to Chomrong, the gateway of the Annapurna Sanctuary.
